Internships in France
To quality for an internship in France, you must be enrolled in a university that has signed or is willing to sign the Airbus training agreement (“convention de stage”). An internship must last between three and six months.
The ability to work in both an English and French-speaking environment is essential.
We welcome applications from final-year students at engineering and business management schools. Subjects must be chosen in accordance with your final-year project and be part of your personal career objective. Interviews are conducted in French and possibly English, depending on the role.

Internships in Germany
To qualify for?an internship, a final-year thesis project or a working student position in Germany, you must be enrolled in university and able to work in an English- and German-speaking environment.
Completing an internship at Airbus can improve your chances of being accepted into one of our graduate programmes.
We recommend that you apply four to six months in advance to give us adequate time to process your application. Sometimes, a few internships are open at short notice as well.
If you are undertaking the internship on a voluntary basis, i.e. not as a compulsory requirement of a study programme, the maximum duration is three months. If you wish to complete your compulsory internship, please include the relevant excerpt from your study regulations/guidelines with your application. Afterwards, a voluntary internship of up to three months is possible.

Internships in Spain
We provide internships for recent graduates. Internship positions are available all year-round. There are opportunities to work as an intern in all areas of Airbus, including engineering, manufacturing engineering, operations, customer services, IT and support functions.
Our Spanish internships generally last 12 months, full time. You must be able to work in a Spanish and/or English-speaking environment.
What document do I need for my application?

What is the maximum length of an internship?
Internships at Airbus usually last three months or more.?
For Germany only:?after completing a compulsory internship, it is possible for students to undertake a voluntary internship of up to three months.
Can I undertake an internship if it is not a mandatory part of my studies? (Germany only)
Yes, it is possible. However please note that if you are undertaking the internship on a voluntary basis during your studies, i.e. not as a compulsory requirement of a study programme, the maximum duration is 3 months.
Can I apply to an internship even though I'm not a student?
Please consider that for our published internship positions in France, Germany and the UK, candidates need to be enrolled in a university for the whole time of the working contract in order to be considered for the internship position.
Can I apply for more than one position in parallel?
You can certainly apply for more than one position at the same time, but it doesn’t necessarily increase your chances of being selected. We strongly advise that you only apply for positions that truly fit your skills and experience, and that you provide as much information about yourself as possible in your online application. Therefore, you need to create your own profile in your candidate account, which you can use for all your applications within our company.
Is it possible to write a final thesis after doing an internship?
In principle, this is possible and often topics arise during internships. However, we cannot give any information about whether it is possible in a specific case, as this must be clarified with the department in question at the appropriate time.
Is it possible to start the internship later than written in the job posting?
The start date can be adjusted slightly after a consultation with the department. You will get more detailed information from the department if you get invited to an interview. Please let us know your availability in your cover letter.?

Training and development
From day one, you will be assigned to a particular department and will be guided through the various placement opportunities that exist within your function and the wider business. The programme includes core technical and behavioural training elements that will form an integral part of your learning and help you become familiar with the company and its culture.
Placements in Defence & Space allow you to be involved in one of our graduate projects which means you can either work on a short technical project or work with various universities to develop key relationships with future graduates.
Within Commercial Aircraft, graduates are encouraged to study towards professional accreditation and will often be supported financially to do this. It means you could work towards chartered status from the Institute of Mechanical Engineers, the IET or the Royal Aeronautical Engineering Society. Chartership can also be achieved from bodies such as the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
You will also have considerable support during the scheme to ensure that your overall learning experience will complement your future career.

Special Technical Master's programmes in Spain
If you are a graduate in Engineering, have an excellent academic background, high level of English, passion for aviation and are interested in Airbus, you could be the right candidate for one of our Special Technical Master's programmes.
These programmes include 1 year of study in a special Master's degree at a participating university and a 1-year Airbus internship in an area related to your degree. For this MBA, Airbus is looking for graduates (Bachelor or Master) in Aeronautic/Aerospatiale, Industrial, or IT Engineering. They should have a negotiation level in English and Spanish.

Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) programme
The Airbus Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) programme is a great start to your career because it enables you to gain valuable, paid work experience internationally in a technical or business function.
Assignments are located worldwide and typically last between one and two years. They are within one of our technical or business functions including engineering, manufacturing or support functions such as finance, marketing and HR.
We look for highly motivated graduates who are citizens of the EU (including Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein) and have fulfilled their country’s military service obligations, if required. Ideally, applicants are from an engineering or business school with an innovative mindset and a deep desire to learn. Some experience working abroad is useful, fluency in English is essential and knowledge of other relevant languages is an advantage.
VIEs can start their work experience at different times of the year depending on specific project requirements. A great range of benefits includes a tax-free salary (€1,200-3,200 per month, depending on country), 2.5 days of paid leave per month, medical insurance and pension contribution.?
The VIE programme is run by Business France in conjunction with Airbus. Business France manages all the administrative aspects of the assignment and ensures that the students’ rights are protected.
The Airbus scholarship programme is specifically addressed to highly motivated bachelor’s students of technical and IT-related courses of studies, who are aiming for a master’s degree within less than one year.
You will benefit from an international network, expert coaching for personal and professional development, exclusive insights into our company and promising prospects for the future.??
Further education is a significant cornerstone of the programme. There are two seminars every year: focusing on technical expertise on current Airbus topics as well as on personality development skills.
Furthermore, the scholarship holders will have the opportunity to participate in air shows, such as ILA, and events on local Airbus sites. These events also offer the possibility to exchange experiences with alumni and mentors.? ??
Each scholarship holder is assigned a personal mentor as contact person and adviser. The mentor is selected according to the scholarship holder's professional abilities so as to provide full support for his or her interests. The mentoring programme can be seen as a starting point for successful networking and career development at Airbus.
The programme offers support in finding internships, thesis and work experience. Orientation visits in departments are also possible. There will be regular personal development talks as well as advice on career planning and entry opportunities.?
The scholarship holders receive monthly financial support of €300 for the entire duration of their study.
